Having a cold is awful. You’re not ill enough to stay home, but you’re hardly able to put in a decent day’s work because of all the snot. Mounds of wet handkerchiefs, teary eyes, sneeze attacks, a scratched up nose, a hoarse (sexy) voice, annoying coughs. Amongst all this dreariness, there is one silver lining: thé anti-flu remedy.
Our mom used to make us this hot tea with honey and lemon whenever we had a cold. Over the years, it’s become a staple in our healing process. It would be unthinkable to go through a cold or a flu without an anti-flu remedy! But no matter how much I love it, it’s only allowed to drink it when you’re ill! 😉
Ps: we know this concoction under the moniker ‘granny’s anti-flu remedy’. When I asked my grandmother where she got the recipe, she denied all knowledge. 🙂 Her actual anti-flu remedy is rum and rock sugar. I guess that’ll kill some bacteria as well! :-p

Carine likes this concoction with or without a nice shot of brown rum (tip)! Carine confirms you don’t have to be ill to enjoy this remedy. It’s great after a long winter’s walk!
Caroline didn’t have much to say: delicious and healthy! Being an apothecary, she did propose to pick a different callsign: Vitamin-C Booster or Immunity Booster. I can’t choose! 😉
